Job Summary
About the PGY1 Residency Program
Additionally the PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at Corewell Health will be supervised by designated preceptors in a program designed to accelerate 3-5 years of practice experience into the single pharmacy residency year.
- Provide safe and effective patient care services while promoting safe and effective access to medication therapy.
- Provide patient-centered care through interacting and facilitating effective communication with patients caregivers and stakeholders.
- Participate in the identification and implementation of medication-related interventions for a patient population (population health management). Conduct practice advancement projects.
- Demonstrate leadership skills that contribute to departmental and/or organizational excellence in the advancement of pharmacy services.
- Demonstrate leadership skills that foster personal growth and professional engagement.
- Provide effective medication and practice-related education.
- Provide professional and practice-related training to meet learners educational needs.
- Complete all additional activities required and outlined by individual Pharmacy Residency Program
Qualifications
- Required Bachelors Degree Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Experience gained through completion of a pharmacy degree program. Required
- LIC-Clinical Pharmacist - STATEMI State of Michigan 120 Days required
- LIC-Pharmacist Controlled Substance - STATEMI State of Michigan 120 Days required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS INSTR) - ARC American Red Cross 180 Days required Or
- CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required Or
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required
