Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive self-motivated and collaborative Senior Accountant for our corporate accounting team. The Senior Accountant will assist with external and internal financial reporting month end close procedures manage the consolidation process of acquired entities assist in preparing support to fulfill compliance and audit requirements and participate in operational projects.

This position reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and collaborates closely with teams across accounting internal audit finance and other key business functions. The role is based at our Chicago headquarters and follows a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of external and internal financial reporting
  • Prepare financial statement footnotes and disclosures
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and reserves
  • Maintain and update current SOPs of the areas assigned
  • Assist acquired entities month end close process
  • Reconciling intercompany accounts
  • Assist with fulfilling requests to complete compliance and audit requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • CPA Preferred
  • 3 years experience in public or corporate accounting
  • Team player recognizes and supports team goals over individual goals
  • Self-managed and motivated with a strong desire to succeed and achieve goals
  • Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and tasks
  • Integrity implements and upholds company values
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Communicates effectively with various team members
