Position Title:Plumber

FLSA:Non Exempt

Reports To:Executive Director of Facility Operations

Beginning:May 2026

Terms of Employment:A full contract for this position is 240 days with benefits as specified in employee contract. Contract will be prorated based on actual start date.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED.
2 - 5 years experience preferred.
Master or Journeyman license preferred.
Valid Drivers License.
Commercial / light industrial preferred.
Ability to lift 75 pounds to shoulder height occasionally.
Ability to push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds frequently.
Ability to perform physical labor in hot and cold outdoor environments.
Ability to climb up and down ladders of various heights.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assemble install maintain and pressure test all pipes fitting and fixtures of heating water drainage sprinkler and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to assigned work orders.
Install and repair pipes fittings valves fixtures and plumbing system equipment including sinks commodes water heaters water softeners etc.
Maintain inventory of district-owned tools equipment and materials.
Work with building Principals and Supervisors to complete projects.
Respond to emergency calls as needed.
Perform Preventative Maintenance as needed.
Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition and follow established safety procedures.
Correct any unsafe conditions in work areas and report any conditions that are not correctable to the Supervisor immediately.
Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
Must be able to work independently sometimes with minimal supervision.
Attend meetings as scheduled by supervisors and district administration.
Maintain a professional relationship with students faculty administration and community patrons.
Maintains prompt and regular attendance
Attend trainings as required.
Other duties as assigned by administration.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
