Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CTICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for critically ill cardiovascular patients. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing post-operative cardiac surgery patients including fresh hearts and be comfortable in a high-acuity ICU environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide critical care to post-operative cardiac patients including fresh open-heart cases
Monitor and manage hemodynamic status and advanced cardiac support systems
Administer medications titrate drips and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons and intensivists
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
Ensure adherence to ICU protocols and patient safety standards

Requirements:

Active New York RN License required
Minimum 2 years of CTICU experience required
Experience with fresh hearts is mandatory
Travel experience required
Certifications required:
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- NIHSS
EPIC EMR experience required
