Job Summary
GMC Prep School announces an opening for a Fifth-Grade Science and Social Studies teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Georgia Military College Prep School is a K - 12th grade public independent military college-preparatory school with a mission to develop the intellect and elevate the character of the 890 students we serve.
This position is for a full-time faculty member who will be a teacher in a Social Studies and Science 5thgrade classroom. The projected teaching load for this faculty member is Social Studies and Science for three classes of 5th graders (approximately 60 students.) This position also includes working with students on science fair coaching/sponsoring an extra-curricular activity supervising a Prep School program monitoring students before school working morning/afternoon car riders or working the After School program. This position holds a 10-month contract and pays State-Scale along with State Benefits including membership in the Georgia Teacher Retirement System.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirement -- Applicants must hold a valid Georgia teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education or have a teaching certificate that Georgia Professional Standards will convert to a Georgia certificate under their guidelines.
Preferred -- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in grades K-5.
