The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in commercial lines insurance and broking accompanied by excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with clients providing expert advice on commercial insurance policies and coverage options.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers to negotiate terms evaluate policy offerings and secure optimal solutions for clients.
- Work closely with internal teams to analyze client needs risks and objectives to create customized insurance programs.
- Present and explain policy options endorsements and updates to clients in clear and accessible language.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products that benefit the clients business.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends regulatory requirements and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
- Monitor and review policy renewals ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company and industry standards.
- Resolve client inquiries and concerns promptly delivering exceptional customer service with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain accurate records and data in the customer relationship management system (CRM).
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commercial Lines Broker Consultant or in a similar insurance-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products policies and industry processes.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset and the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Analytical problem-solver who can assess risk and provide tailored solutions based on client needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex insurance concepts into simple language.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and learning about insurance trends.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications or licenses are highly desirable.
- Bachelors degree in business finance insurance or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
