Job Summary
Grandview Heights Schools is seeking a Middle School AssistantWrestling Coach for the upcoming 26-27 school year!
Title:Middle School AssistantWrestling Coach
Position Type:Supplemental
Reports to:Athletic Director
Qualifications:
- Experience in the designated sport
- Must meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education and OHSAA including acquiring a pupil activity permit and CPR certification
- Prior coaching experience preferred
- Van certification preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and instruct the boys middle schoolwrestling team consisting of approximately 10-20 student-athletes.
- Assist the Head Middle SchoolWreslting Coach with coaching communication and administrative duties as assigned.
- Conduct regular practices for the team.
- Coach student-athletes in a positive manner.
- Ensure the safety of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
- Develop practice and training plans for athletes with differing ability levels.
- Coaching will require six days per week including practices and contests. 15-20 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach.
- Supervise and travel with the team to all contests.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Working Conditions
- Potential exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissue
- Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather
- Regular requirement to sit stand walk talk hear see and read
- Regular requirement to lift equipment up to 50 pounds
