The clinical teams at the areas clinics are improving outcomes lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. A private nonprofit non-tax supported medical center UnityPoint Health - Grinnell Regional Medical Center is the largest hospital in Iowa between Des Moines and Iowa City and serves more than 47000 residents in 6 counties.
Responsibilities
Inpatient Medicine
- 12 hour shifts (7a-7p)
- Flexible scheduling
- Shifts cover admitting discharge rounding responding to codes
- Telehospitalist service overnight
- Hospitalists cover the ICU with intensivist support for vent management as needed
- Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
