Position Summary Bar Supervisor

As Bar Manager you will take full responsibility for the leadership and operational performance of Booking Office 1869. You will oversee all day-to-day bar operations ensuring exceptional guest experiences consistent beverage standards and strong commercial results. This role requires a hands-on leader with advanced beverage expertise proven people management skills and a passion for driving standards innovation and team development while upholding the identity and values of the brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all bar operations ensuring seamless service delivery across all trading periods.
  • Set maintain and continuously improve beverage quality consistency and presentation in line with brand and hotel standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with all health safety hygiene and licensing regulations maintaining a safe and legally compliant environment at all times.
  • Take ownership of stock control ordering inventory management and wastage reduction to achieve beverage cost and margin targets.
  • Drive financial performance by delivering revenue growth managing service charge performance and maximising profitability.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies upselling initiatives and promotional activity to enhance guest spend and engagement.
  • Lead menu development seasonal changes and cocktail innovation ensuring offerings remain relevant creative and commercially effective.
  • Maintain all bar areas to the highest standard of cleanliness organisation and operational readiness ensuring mise en place is consistently maintained.
  • Recruit train coach and develop the bar team fostering a high-performance culture aligned with hotel values and service expectations.
  • Oversee cash handling till management and financial reporting ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial controls and procedures.
  • Act as a brand ambassador on the floor leading by example through exceptional guest interaction storytelling and service excellence.
