DESCRIPTION:
As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician II at Thermo Fisher Scientific you will contribute to producing high-quality instruments and components that enable scientific this hands-on position you will work with sophisticated equipment to assemble test and troubleshoot complex electromechanical fluidic and optical systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes implement improvements and ensure products meet our rigorous quality standards. This role offers opportunities to contribute to meaningful work while developing your technical expertise in an innovative environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Requires high school diploma or GED
Experience:
1 year of experience in manufacturing assembly and testing of precision instruments or similar technical equipment preferred
Preferred Fields of Study: Electronics Engineering Technology or related technical field
Knowledge Skills Abilities
ISO quality management system certifications advantageous
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings schematics and work instructions
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with assembly tools test equipment and calibration processes
Knowledge of GMP ISO standards and quality control procedures
Ability to operate precision measurement tools and testing equipment
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and manufacturing software systems
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Physical requirements include standing bending lifting up to 35 lbs and manual dexterity
Ability to adapt schedule as needed to support production demands
