Job Summary
Job Title: Director of Diagnostic Imaging
Location: Margate FL 33063
Employment Type: Full-Time (Permanent)
Schedule: Day Shift No Weekends
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Diagnostic Imaging to lead imaging services within a healthcare facility. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations ensuring regulatory compliance and driving high standards of patient care safety and operational efficiency. The Director will provide leadership to imaging staff manage resources and implement best practices to enhance departmental performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Diagnostic Imaging department
- Ensure compliance with regulatory safety and accreditation standards
- Lead mentor and develop technologists supervisors and support staff
- Manage department scheduling workflow and staffing productivity
- Develop and manage budgets capital equipment planning and inventory control
- Implement quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians leadership and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure optimal patient experience and satisfaction
- Establish and enforce policies procedures and best practices
Qualifications
- Associates Degree required (Bachelors preferred)
- ARRT Certification required
- Minimum 5 years of Diagnostic Imaging experience
- Minimum 1 year of Director-level or Imaging Leadership experience (required)
- Strong leadership organizational and communication skills
- Experience managing budgets operations and staff in a clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Radiologic Sciences or related field
- Prior experience in hospital or acute care imaging environment
- Proven track record in performance improvement and team leadership
Certifications & Licensure
- ARRT Certification (required)
- BLS Certification (preferred/required per facility policy)
