| Job Description: | - Operate tractors and other agricultural equipment to apply fertilizer plant cultivate and harvest crops in field and grass areas. - Apply fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with University of Florida and regulatory guidelines. - Assist with field water control systems and facilities maintenance activities. - Operate inspect and maintain a variety of equipment including tractors irrigation systems and related machinery. - Collect soil samples for testing and analysis. - Operate University of Florida vehicles as required for work assignments. - Lubricate clean and perform routine upkeep on vehicles machinery equipment instruments tools shop areas and related workspaces using hand tools power tools and cleaning equipment. - Work schedule of MondayFriday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with availability to work occasional weekends as needed. - Perform required duties in outdoor environments with frequent exposure to hot and humid weather conditions. |
| Expected Salary: | $17.00 hourly |
| Required Qualifications: | Valid Florida driver license. |
| Preferred: | High School Diploma. Farm experience including heavy equipment operation. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. weight Must obtain pesticide license within 3 months of employment. |
