Your Impact
As a High School Intern at Axon you will contribute to bold mission through meaningful work in STEM-focused internships tracks designed to give you real-world experience in technology engineering innovation and problem solving. This 8-week paid internship provides an opportunity to explore STEM careers by working on cutting-edge projects that impact public safety.
Working alongside a cohort of fellow interns and a variety of Axon stakeholders youll be part of a fast-paced dynamic environment engaging in mentorship networking and professional development opportunities with Axons industry professionals. Throughout the program you will develop critical problem-solving skills expand your technical expertise and gain insights into career pathways in technology focused careers.

What Youll Do
Location: Seattle WA - In Office
Reports To: Program Manager
This internship offers hands-on exposure to applied AI and computer vision in a real-world engineering environment. Over the course of eight weeks interns will work with image and sensor data help improve data annotation workflows and learn how labeled data supports the development of machine learning systems. The experience includes exploring datasets building simple automation tools evaluating output quality using technical metrics and presenting findings to a research and engineering audience. This role is best suited for curious detail-oriented students who are excited by AI enjoy problem-solving and want early exposure to technical workflows used in robotics and perception systems.

- An interest in or curiosity in software engineering artificial intelligence and machine learning. This interest may come from classes clubs personal projects community programs or self-directed learning.

- You are currently a junior or senior attending a high school in the greater Seattle area. (Graduating Seniors are eligible to apply)
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Comfort working both independently and in team-based environments
- No prior professional work experience is required we value curiosity initiative and a willingness to learn.
Axons hourly pay philosophy is made up of base pay and bonus. The actual hourly pay is dependent upon many factors such as: level function training transferable skills work experience business needs geographic market and often a combination of all these factors.
