Role Overview
Located in Adelaides Outer Harbor and reporting directly to the Marine Services Team Leader you will work as part of a team to provide marine services to vessels and undertake maintenance.
12-hour rotating roster consisting of a block of 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts followed by 4 days off. This pattern runs for three blocks then approximately three blocks off as part of a job share arrangement.
The role is a part-time 12-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and operate Flinders Ports launches for pilot transfer minor maintenance and servicing of main engines and ancillary equipment;
Prepare statistics and reports of vessel activities and performance;
Assist with maintenance of port assets as required (i.e. wharf and navigation aids); and
Use oil pollution response equipment as necessary under the direction of Transport SA or Flinders Ports emergency response coordinators.
About you
Your skills and experience will include;
Master Class V Certificate of Competency and Marine Engine Driver Grade 2 of Competency;
Administrative experience and strong computer literacy;
Ability and experience working both independently and in a team;
High level of attention to detail and the ability to problem solve;
Current Drivers Licence; and
Trade Qualification and/or understanding of Electrical systems highly desirable not essential.
