Job Description

Position Introduction:

The Department of Psychological Science seeks a one-year visiting assistant professor to begin in the Fall of 2026 in the areas of Animal Learning/Cognition and Statistics.

Job Description:

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching and either have completed a Ph.D. or be ABD in the Psychology or Neuroscience of Animal Learning/Cognition at the time of successful applicant will teach classes that support or are required for our Psychological Science major. The teaching expectation is five course units for the responsibilities will likely include an upper-level Learning & Behavior seminar inan area of the candidates expertise intermediate-level Learning and Behavior and Evolutionary Psychology courses an introductory course in Statistics & Experimental Design and an Introduction to Psychology course.

Pay Transparency Disclosure:

The annual base starting salary range for this position is $89000 to $93000 (USD). When extending an offer of employment Vassar College considers factors such as (but not limited to) the candidates education/training work experience internal peer equity as well as market and organizational considerations. This salary range represents the Colleges good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting.
