PT Leader cPVC / TempriteJob Summary:Lubrizols process technology team reimagines what is possible delivering safe and sustainable solutions to drive business value and create a competitive advantage. As the TPU/Medical Process Technology team lead you will play a critical role in developing next generation manufacturing processes and high-performance engineering teams leveraging latest technologies creativity engineering and unit operation fundamentals and contemporary development will drive our Most Effective Technology (MET) process with focus on best-in-class technology METPlus and Prime for Engineered Polymers and Temprite while partnering with global operations teams to maximize METBase addition you will identify and progress global productivity and continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead the process scale up of new products Tolling and Regional Localization support. You will also provide support/leadership for all in-region PT effective candidate for this role should have a good working knowledge of TPU/Medical chemistry and basic processing will attract and develop the next generation of process development will support the adherence and application of program management fundaments for all activities where resources are deployed to ensure results align with business will work with the global cross-functional team to develop effective partnerships and standard work practices to ensure we deliver on the potential and opportunity as One Lubrizol.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Leads the Global cPVC / Temprite Process Technology team:Work with global business and operations teams to align on process technology and productivity engineering team and cross-functional engagements to achieve business the Process Technologies purpose statement a reality driving performance and continuous technologies partnerships methodologies to stimulate our thinking elevate our practices accelerate learning to enable step changes in standardization and effectiveness of best practice operational technology development and transfer and project management processes across all global Engineered polymers manufacturing and Implement Most Effective Technology Processes and Lead Global Productivity initiativesPartner with R&D and 3rd parties (Tollers) to develop METPlus and Prime pipelines state of the art process technologies and fundamental process MET dashboards Metrics/KPIs to quantity performance potential with investment and improvement with identified value in MET dashboard available by upgrading technologies required for pilot process improvements and partner with broader Manufacturing Technology teams to secure necessary equipment and pilot process to enable accelerated scale-up activities with special focus on generating required data confirming product and process quality and Lean and Design for Six Sigma initiatives to ensure data driven and systematic approaches to driving improvements and especially that effective controls are implemented to maintain product and process FMEAs to ensure effective management of risk ensuring all process risks and operator health and safety risks are mitigated during lab pilot plant and plant for compliance and execution of Technology License Agreements with external partners as with plant operations to create an effective process to surface and prioritize global productivity and continuous improvement execution of focus projects while also understanding where else insights gained can be leveraged 21st Century Engineer global engineering team to enable accelerated learning and business resultsWork with Lubrizols R&D teams for opportunities to enhance engineer capability through Digitization AI and Generative AIWork to enhance member and teams creativity and agility through development of effective brainstorming lean start-up thinking and team mindsets with focus on minimally viable products and effective build measure learn cycles of superior teaming and facilitation skills ensuring desired stakeholder experiencesEnsure team are grounded in core engineering fundamentals core unit operation expertise and engineering skills and risk assessment (FMEA)Work to elevate Six Sigma competencies to include Process Mapping Measurement System Analysis Root Cause Analysis Process Capability/Control Charts Multi-variate analysis/Components of Variation Design of Experiments House of Quality and Statistical ToolsEnsures high competency and demonstrated proficiency in applying first principles of chemistry and engineering formal and organized problem solving application of statistics and design of experiments project management and execution and technical documentation and report the hiring and development of Engineering Manufacturing Plant Support:Work to support and ensure operations teams are achieving global METBase performance localization efforts as Regional PT Leadership:Leverage in-region presence to support/lead PT in-region deliverablesSkills Experience and Qualifications:Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or an advanced degree in Chemistry with 7 years of chemical manufacturing to four years experience managing high level Engineers is a plus years of experience in process development and/or of Engineered resin polymers chemistry and manufacturing processes. Subject matter expertise is with cPVC or photochlorination or photo chemical reactionsDemonstrated success in driving change and delivering resultsin a matrix developing teams to deliver on their communication and networking project management interpersonal teamwork and leadership a continuous improvement mindset.Considered a Plus:Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering Materials Science Colloid Science or matter expertise in Engineered Polymers including chemistry manufacturing processes and unit or DFSS Six Sigma certification green belt or black belt coupled with credible practical applicationCertifications in project management (e.g. PMP)
