Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Able to make the following decisions:
- Control of aircraft to and from ramp in the non-movement areas.
- Anticipate aircraft movements in coordination with FAA Ground Control.
- Sequence and separation for pushback and engine start at the gates.
- Prepare for sequence of arriving traffic prior to arrival at the ramp.
- The merging of arriving and pushback traffic that will assure all aircraft equitable treatment and provide for minimum delays.
Able to resolves problems with:
- Communications equipment
- Aero Bahn Flight arrival Monitor (Ground Radar) display
- Gate Explorer display
- Gate Management computer programs.
- Instruct aircraft how and when to push-back instruct aircraft when to taxi who to follow and frequency transfer points to metering.
- coordinate with airport authority when necessary.
- Responsible for delay prevention and cancel impact mitigation thru issue resolution or escalation to station leadership as required
- Support standard work to achieve On Time and safe performance
- Effectively communicate and interact with both internal and external departments and agencies in the performance of their work
- Prepare and compile flight departure paperwork as needed audit and file flight paperwork and fuel service records
- Support and assist in planning and coordinating irregular operations including Long Tarmac Delay situations and reporting
- Plan and manage gate and remote parking
- Update Flight Information in all applicable programs
- Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role
- Other duties as assigned
