We are building our next-generation Online Booking and Expense Management Tool from the ground up using new technologies to guide business travelers and help them make informed decisions while assisting companies in meeting their objectives regarding policy compliance and budget control

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to help develop next-generation microservices utilizing cloud-first concepts and technologies including containerization serverless architecture and an increased reliance on NoSQL data stores. You are organized positive creative and consistently focused on the user. You understand when to make decisions and when to ask questions. You have a strong attention to detail and enjoy discovering new ways to solve users problems. Above all you take pride in building exceptional products

THE VALUE YOU DELIVER:

Collaborate effectively with Technical Product Managers to take ownership and ensure delivery on agreed priorities.

Build high-performing teams by attracting hiring retaining and coaching top talent.

Grow the team and guide the career development of team members focusing on both the technical and interpersonal skills necessary for being effective and successful in a professional software engineering organization.

Provide systematic and direct individual performance feedback focused on recognition of achievement and opportunities for growth.

Own cloud services from end to end by delivering distributed systems utilizing AWS services and adhering to best practices such as zero-downtime production deployments canaries frequent deployments and feature-flag-driven development.

Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors/Masters Degree or equivalent in a technology-related field (e.g. Computer Science Engineering etc.) required.

Outstanding professional software engineering experience with work on managing engineering teams.

Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end solutions from design through delivery.

Very good understanding of one or more of Go Java Kotlin NodeJS and other modern programming languages.

Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with technical product managers architects and technical teams across different product areas.

Knowledge of secure coding practices compliance open-source technologies and frameworks.

DevOps mentality with an understanding of Continuous Delivery and Observability

Experience with Docker Helm Kubernetes and a broad array of AWS primitives such as EC2 AMIs EKS Dynamo etc.

Familiarity with common compliance frameworks that impact software development: FedRAMP PCI SOC1 SOC2 and more.
