Description
Qualifications
The Roofing Field Technician is responsible for the installation inspection maintenance and repair of commercial roofing and waterproofing systems. This role supports field operations by performing leak investigations applying roofing and coating systems and ensuring all work is completed safely efficiently and in compliance with industry standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform commercial roofing and waterproofing work including installation repair and maintenance of roofing systems and coatings
- Conduct leak investigations water testing and repairs to address water infiltration issues
- Apply roofing membranes sealants and waterproofing systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures
- Assist in the installation of roofing systems including coatings flashing and drainage components
- Perform minor exterior repairs on roofs concrete masonry and sealant systems for buildings and parking structures
- Operate and work from heights using ladders scaffolding boom lifts scissor lifts swing stages or bosun chairs (training provided)
- Conduct integrity and troubleshooting tests to identify defects or failures in roofing and waterproofing systems
- Maintain and inspect tools equipment and materials to ensure proper working condition
- Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA standards while working on job sites
- Comply with all applicable building codes safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications
Required Skills & Abilities
- Ability to perform demanding labor including lifting up to 55 lbs (25 kg)
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Solid work ethic with attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Basic understanding of commercial roofing systems waterproofing and coatings (preferred)
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing job site conditions
- Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime or non-standard shifts as needed
- Valid drivers license preferred
Education & Experience
- 03 years of experience in commercial roofing waterproofing construction or a related field
- On-the-job training will be provided for entry-level candidates
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat cold rain wind)
- Comfortable working at heights and in potentially hazardous environments
- Exposure to construction materials chemicals and job site conditions
- Must follow all required safety procedures including fall protection
