Job Summary
Walker Products is seeking a Manager of Product Teams to lead develop and execute product strategies across our automotive and Othermotive markets. This role will oversee the entire product lifecycle and guide a team of product managers to drive innovation market competitiveness and business growth. The ideal candidate is an analytical and strategic thinker with a passion for product development and leadership.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
Product Strategy & Analytics
- Develop analytical insights to inform and influence product roadmaps and business decisions to improve customer experience. This includes market price modeling customer research and competitive analysis.
- Perform market industry and competitor research to fully understand the global competitive landscape and identify opportunities for growth.
- Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Build and own new products from the ground up while continuously scaling and evolving current products in the automotive and Othermotive markets.
- Own the product development process overseeing projects from concept and planning through development launch and post-launch optimization.
- Assist in the development of product data including attributes applications and adherence to industry standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with engineering and other cross-functional teams to define document and communicate objectives requirements and constraints for product initiatives and releases.
- Lead and collaborate with Engineering Purchasing Quality Control and Inventory Management to drive results ensure profitability and optimize product performance.
- Work closely with sales marketing and supply chain teams to ensure successful product positioning and market penetration.
- Customer & Market Insights
- Understand products applications systems and business needs of potential and existing customers to ensure alignment with market demands.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers to gather feedback for continuous product improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelors degree in business Engineering or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience: 5 years of experience in product management with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred.
