Job Summary
Principal Core Scientist: To conduct and oversee research projects and to help to implement strategy within area of expertise. Provide services and consultation to researchers and investigators to facilitate highly technical and specialized scientific research. Expected to possess widely recognized expertise in a given area. Expected to teach in courses and workshops for trainees and research community.
Responsibilities
- Support operations and training
- Develop troubleshoot and perfect protocols
- Train and educate investigators
- Take a leading role in projects generate data interpret results prepare for publication
- Identify and contribute to technical and operations development and growth
- Prepare and disseminate discoveries
- Supervise other Core scientists
Qualifications
- BS/BA min of 12 years subject matter experience; MS 10 years subject matter expertise; or PhD Postdoc advanced training in relevant area (preferred).
