About the team

We are constantly evolving in our digital journey and delivering exciting solutions to best support our colleagues. To do this we organise our work and skills so that they map to our colleague journey beginnings beings and endings. Across the team we have two colleague experience leads colleague carespecialists and colleague care advisors; the role we are recruiting for.

About the role

This role is part of our people team working within our colleague experience team ensuring our colleagues have the most frictionless and best-ever colleague experience - from before theyve started to after theyve left and everything in-between when it comes to being a colleague @ Very.

Youll work in progressive ways using technology to simplify journeys and improve processes. Youll stay closely connected with the wider People team putting collaboration at the heart of how we work. Day to day youll deliver operational excellence across colleague interactions and processing ensuring we pay our colleagues correctly whilst meeting all regulatory and legal requirements.

Youll provide thoughtful consistent support across our key priorities including payroll parental leave employment changes and case management of colleague queries. Youll also spot and deliver incremental improvements at every stage of the colleague journey helping us make things clearer faster and easier for all.

Key Responsibilities

Operational excellence:

  • Resolve colleague queries related to pay policies and people processes providing clear timely responses and first-time resolution where possible.
  • Support monthly payroll by receiving validating and preparing data for input; process and reconcile payrolls; and complete required accuracy checks. Ensuring adherence to legal regulatory and audit requirements
  • Complete all transactional processing across the colleague journey (e.g. employment changes parental leave benefits leave) accurately and within agreed SLAs.
  • Support colleagues through the moments that matter specifically (but not restricted to) parental leave providing empathetic accurate guidance and signposting.
  • Provide administrative and processing support to HR Operations and wider People teams as required balancing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Follow documented playbooks and agreed processes to ensure a consistent and accurate delivery of service and transactions for our colleagues.

Continuous improvement

  • Use technology systems and self-service tools to identify design and implement improvements that simplify journeys and enhance the colleague experience
  • Maintain and evolve playbooks and knowledge documents so they reflect process changes system enhancements and best practice ensuring they are easy to follow and up to date.

About you

Were looking for someone with a genuine passion for people energetic curious and keen to turn learning into action.

Youll bring experience or transferable skills from a HR (People) or payroll environment. You care about the colleague experience and youre comfortable with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and people and payroll systems.

Youre a clear communicator who builds strong relationships. Youre organised able to prioritise and you share knowledge freely. You understand relevant employment legislation policies and procedures and you handle sensitive information with discretion and trust. When things get busy you stay calm and considered.

You approach tasks with an open curious mindset and love to collaborate. You spot quick wins try new ideas and find better ways of working. Youre brave enough to make improvements and focused on delivering outcomes.

This role supports our Beings journey creating a seamless supportive experience for colleagues throughout their time with Very. Youll play a key part in moments that matter including periods of absence such as parental leave providing clear guidance and thoughtful support.
