STEM Pathway & TIA Coordinator
Employmnet Term (days): 226
Pay Scale: Administrative - Instructional 5
Primary Purpose:
Provide districtwide leadership for STEM curriculum instruction assessment professional learning and pathway development ensuring vertical alignment from elementary through high school and supporting high-quality hands-on STEM instruction and expanded college career and credentialing opportunities. Lead district implementation monitoring and continuous improvement of the TEA Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) ensuring compliance managing designation data and coordinating communication training and system support.
Qualification Guidelines:
Education/Certifications:
Bachelors degree in a STEM-related field or education
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
Masters degree
Certified T-TESS appraiser (preferred)
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in STEM teaching or leadership
Experience leading professional development or serving in an instructional leadership role (preferred)
Experience with TIA implementation educator evaluation systems and student growth measures (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Deep understanding of STEM content and pedagogy and the T-TESS evaluation process
Exemplary skills in designing planning implementing and monitoring projects/programs in accordance with specified guidelines and policies
Strategic operational planning skills and event coordination skills
Strong data analysis skills
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
