What Youll Do
Under the direction of an RN or LPN youll assist in individualized patient care to help each patient achieve their highest level of wellness. Youll work as part of a collaborative team performing essential clinical procedures and support tasks that make a real difference.
The Womens Health/GYN Unit serves the following populations:
NICU mothers
Post-surgical patients (hysterectomy breast reconstruction urogynecology cesarean complications)
Fetal Demise patients
GI patients including GI abdominal surgeries
Womens Med Surg overflow
Previable Moms with non-pregnancy-related complications
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma GED CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a healthcare career program
- Experience: None required Mercy provides a 175-hour training program for new hires
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (AHA) within 1 month of hire
- PCA competencies within 3 months
- Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs prolonged standing/walking and essential movements
