Job Summary
New Product Development: Reliability
- Correctly applies the reliability/quality science to assure new product quality goals are achieved irrespective of schedule pressures & cost.
- Establish with the product teams qualification test plans with Product Teams to ensure product meets customer CTQs
- Define Application Based Product Test Procedures and Methods.
- Define Product Reliability Targets (Collect and Summarize Product Statistically Valid Usage Data and Establish Competitive Product Reliability Data).
- Drive FMEA Process early in the Design Phase to Optimize Design and Mitigate Risk.
- Participates in safety reviews during the Phase Gate process to ensure product meets safety and compliance requirements.
- Represents the Voice for the Customer in all quality related product development activities and responds to market complaints from customers or trading standards
Mature Product Quality
- Identification of High Warranty Products
- Implement Product Teardowns Quality Assessment Reporting
- Problem Resolution Leader: Product and Issue Priorities Product Resolution Plans and Tracking Resolution Confirmation
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Related Discipline.
- Minimum of 1 years technical experience in reliability/test lab/quality discipline in a new product development environment with electro-mechanical devices
- Trained in the use of Six Sigma tools and techniques (i.e. Six Sigma Green Belt) such as: design of experiments (DOE) statistical process control (SPC) and gage repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R).
- Data Collection and Analysis Techniques (i.e.: Minitab Weibull).
- Ability to Work with Cross-Functional and Culturally Diverse Teams.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Experience Developing and Administering Training.
- Highly Motivated and Hands-On person that takes Ownership of Results
- International travel required.
