Job Summary

As the inventor of the first hardware wallet we have helped shape security standards widely used across the crypto space including Recovery seeds Passphrases and Shamir Backup. Founded in 2013 and still 100% self-owned we continue to build open-source products that give people more control over their digital assets.

As a Cryptographer Team Lead youll bring strong cryptographic expertise into real product development and help guide this domain across this role youll work on practical cryptographic challenges contribute to security-related decisions and lead a small team of specialists. What youll do

Own and drive cryptography initiatives across the company
Lead a team of three cryptography engineers combining technical leadership with people management
Provide direction on complex cryptographic questions and decisions
Design specify and implement new cryptographic standards such as BIPs and SLIPs
Maintain and further develop trezor-crypto our cryptographic algorithms library
Review and assess vulnerability reports related to Trezor firmware

About you

5 years of experience in cryptography
Ability to take complex cryptographic concepts turn them into practical solutions and explain them to less experienced colleagues
Strong understanding of elliptic curve cryptography and modern cryptanalytic methods
Solid command of C and Python
Knowledge of cryptography used in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is an advantage
Understanding of protections against side-channel and fault injection attacks
Familiarity with Git
Familiarity with Rust is a plus

What youll do
