Job Summary

Muskegon Catholic Central is seeking a dynamic and inspiring leader to serve as Head Coach of our Girls Varsity Basketball program and guide the next chapter of Crusader athletics. This is an opportunity to lead with purpose model integrity and foster a culture rooted in sportsmanship teamwork and personal growthon and off the court. At MCC athletics are an extension of our missionforming young women of faith character and confidence. Our next head coach will recognize that success is measured not only by the scoreboard but by the development of each student-athlete as a teammate leader and person. We are looking for someone who will bring out the very best in every player challenge them to excel academically grow in their faith and compete with heart and humility. We seek a coach with the vision to elevate the varsity program while building strong alignment across all levels. The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive disciplined and unselfish style of play that emphasizes accountability respect and team-first values. From offseason development to game-day execution this leader will create an environment where every athlete feels valued supported and motivated to improve. Our next coach will develop confident high-IQ players mentor assistant coaches and energize the MCC community. Above all this individual will model the waydemonstrating leadership through actions words and relationshipswhile building a program that prioritizes sportsmanship unity and the lifelong success of every student-athlete. Position Overview The Head Varsity Basketball Coach will oversee all aspects of the basketball program and work collaboratively with school leadership to ensure the program reflects the mission and values of Muskegon Catholic Central. This role demands a leader who can set the tempo for the entire programbuilding and sustaining a championship culture developing student-athletes and aligning every level of Crusader basketball around a shared vision for success. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will bring previous basketball coaching experience preferably at the high school or collegiate level along with a proven ability to lead build and elevate a program. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education and possess excellent communication leadership and organizational skills. A passion for teaching the game developing high-character student-athletes and mentoring Program Leadership -Provide vision leadership and direction for the entire girls hoops program. -Establish a clear philosophy and culture that emphasizes discipline accountability and teamwork.-Ensure alignment and develop all levels there must be a youth development plan. Student-Athlete Development -Foster the spiritual academic and athletic development of student-athletes. -Teach leadership responsibility and sportsmanship. -Encourage commitment to academic excellence and personal growth. Practice & Competition -Plan and conduct organized purposeful practices that maximize player development. -Prepare teams for competition through game planning film study and conditioning. -Promote a competitive mindset that values effort preparation and resilience. Culture & Community -Build a program culture that student-athletes are proud to be part of. -Engage parents alumni and the broader MCC community in support of the program. -Represent Muskegon Catholic Central with professionalism and integrity.
