The DemandManagerplays a pivotal role in translating market intelligence into accurate demand plans that drive operational commercial and financial outcomes. Operating within one of the worlds largest integrated aluminium value chains the Demand Manager leverages Blue Yonders advanced planning capabilities to create a unified data-driven view of demand across regions product lines and customer segments. This role is at the heart of the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process ensuring every forecast reflects both market reality and strategic intent and that supply production and finance teams work off a single consensus demand signal.
The role is to operate across the complex business comprising of: Demand: FRP (36 KT/month) Foils (4.5 KT/month) across 12 Streams (8 FRP 4 Foils) 24K SKUs (22K FRP 2K Foil) 2K Customers (1.5K FRP 0.5K Foil) Pan Geographic operations. Supply: 6 manufacturing units 15 cast houses value addition units that together deliver FRP (36 KT/month) Foils (4.5 KT/month) Network wide Working Capital 15 days of Finished Goods (about 17 KT) and 45 days of WIP (about 60 KT) |

Forecast Development and Accuracy | - Develop and maintain forecasts by building maintaining and refining demand forecasts using statistical models market insights CRM data coordinating with Territory Managers for their inputs and Blue Yonders advanced analytical tools
- Review Blue Yonder statistical baseline at the start of each planning cycle
- Clean and resolve data quality issues (history outliers master data)
- Prepare a reliable basis for initiating the demand planning cycle
- Establish and communicate the Demand Baseline Narrative as a neutral data-backed starting point
- Analyze macro-economic and industry demand trends and reflect impacts in the baseline
- Recommend Make-to-Stock orders based on segmentation where appropriate. Provide CP vs volume vs mill-hours capacity utilization inventory and aging views by stream
- Maintain forecast versions and ensure one approved demand plan is published in BY.Deliver a single unconstrained demand signal by providing the official demand input to downstream supply and production planning ensuring alignment across all planning horizons
- Monitor forecast performance by continuously tracking forecast accuracy and bias conducting variance analyses and initiating corrective actions to improve precision

Scenario Planning and Business Simulation | - Run scenario simulations and conduct what-if analyses to assess the impact of changes in pricing volume inventory capacity utilization profitability and service levels
- Support strategic decision-making and present alternate demand views and risk-adjusted forecasts to help business leaders choose optimal commercial and production strategies
- Integrate market and commercial inputs and translate sales targets CRM pipeline visibility and customer feedback into actionable demand plans that balance ambition and feasibility

S&OP Cycle Enablement | - Participate in the Demand Review process and prepare and present forecasts for the monthly S&OP demand review ensuring alignment with sales marketing and finance teams
- Collaborate cross-functional by partnering with production logistics and finance counterparts to ensure seamless hand-offs between demand supply and financial planning.
- Drive KPI-Based Governance and support S&OP governance through regular reporting on demand-related KPIs such as forecast accuracy bias and customer service levels

Digital Enablement and Insights | - Leverage Blue Yonder tools and utilize Blue Yonders demand planning scenario modeling and dashboard capabilities to strengthen forecast accuracy and responsiveness
- Enable data-driven decisions and interpret real-time dashboards and performance reports to identify emerging trends demand shifts and planning opportunities
- Champion continuous improvement and drive enhancements in data quality forecast processes and system utilization through structured feedback and analytics-driven learning
