Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Line Mechanic to join our this role you will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical power lines and related equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a reliable power supply working on overhead and underground electrical systems and responding to maintenance and emergency repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install repair and maintain overhead and underground power lines.
- Inspect electrical systems and identify faults or damage.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on power distribution networks.
- Work with transformers switchgear and associated electrical equipment.
- Climb power poles and operate bucket trucks to reach electrical infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Respond to power outages emergencies and scheduled maintenance work.
- Work collaboratively with other team members contractors and utility companies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Line Mechanic with relevant trade certification.
- Experience working with power distribution and transmission networks.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and capable of handling manual labor tasks.
- A valid drivers license (preferably with heavy vehicle endorsement).
