Job Summary
About the Role
We are seeking a detail- oriented professional Accountant to ensure the accurate management recording analysis and control of the companys financial and accounting information. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with accounting and tax regulations while providing reliable financial data that supports informed business decisions.
In this role you will work within a fashion and multi-channel retail environment and collaborate closely with teams across Administration Finance Human Resources Purchasing and Operations to support the financial health of the organization and maintain strong internal controls.
Youll Make a Difference By
Ensuring tax compliance and statutory obligations
- Calculating federal and local taxes including ISR IVA and withholdings.
- Preparing and filing monthly and annual tax returns
- Reviewing and controlling the proper issuance of electronic invoices (CFDI stamping).
- Managing tax authority requirements and clarifications.
Managing accounts payable receivable and payroll processes
- Reviewing and validating supplier and customer invoices.
- Scheduling and recording payments to suppliers.
- Monitoring accounts receivable and performing balance reconciliations.
- Recording payroll transactions final settlements (finiquitos) and employer obligations in the accounting system.
Providing financial reporting and executive support
- Preparing periodic financial and tax reports.
- Analyzing budget variances and operating results.
- Presenting clear financial insights to support business decision-making.
- Supporting internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Maintaining accurate accounting records and operational control
- Recording income expenses and journal entries within the ERP system.
- Validating the correct accounting and tax classification of transactions.
- Reconciling accounting records with supporting documentation.
- Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies.
Supporting the month-end close and financial statements
- Executing monthly accounting closings according to the established calendar.
- Integrating the trial balance and subsidiary ledgers.
- Preparing financial statements including Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
- Validating accounting balances and performing closing adjustments.
- Assisting with other responsibilities based on business needs.
About You
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field.
- 23 years of experience in general accounting within trading retail or distribution companies.
- Experience in budgeting and financial control is a plus.
- Knowledge of employer-employee contributions (IMSS INFONAVIT FONACOT).
- Experience managing CFDI 4.0 credit notes and payment complements.
- Familiarity with accounting or administrative ERP systems (Aspel SAP Oracle Odoo NetSuite or similar)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (NIF/IFRS).
- Professional proficiency in English is required as it is our primary business language.
