Job Summary
Electrician - Meat Processing Plant
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join a hardworking team within a busyfacility. This is a key role responsible for maintaining electrical systems supporting production uptime and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Carry out electrical maintenance repairs troubleshooting and servicing across the plant
Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime
Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance in line with production schedules
Assist with planning and execution of shutdown works and large-scale maintenance projects
Ensure all electrical systems comply with NZ standards and site safety policies
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Support mechanical team members where required (within scope of electrical duties)
Promote a strong safety culture and adhere to GMP and hygiene requirements
Experience & Requirements:
Must hold a current NZ Electrical Practising Licence (EWRB Registered Electrician)
Proven experience working as an industrial or maintenance electrician
Previous employment in a processing plant is highly advantageous
Strong troubleshooting ability across motors conveyors sensors PLCs control systems and automated machinery
Comfortable working with high-speed production equipment
Experience supporting shutdowns upgrades and project work
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
Strong communication skills and a proactive hardworking attitude
Must be able to pass:
Drug test
Ministry of Justice check
Reference checks
