Duties and responsibilities:

ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT
E-Assessment Administration
Schedule participants for assessments on the online assessment system.
Provide general system administration on the online assessment system as required.
Play active role and stay up to date within the BLISS team.
Follow Departmental processes and procedures regarding e-assessment administration
Project Administration
Provide general administrative and logistical support for various BLISS research projects related to e-assessments

CURRICULUM DESIGN
E-Assessment development
Prepare and develop assessments on the online assessment system including but not limited to:
o Creation of question banks in online assessment system;
o Migration of question banks from a third-party system to the online assessment system;
and
o Compilation of report on assessment results including overall class performance/analytics.
Provide first line support to the lecturers in the assigned faculty regarding the development of e-assessment activities.
Consult with relevant stakeholders in the development of e-assessment activities.
Attend to problems relating to the development of e-assessment activities on online assessment system.
Follow divisional procedure regarding the development of e-assessment activities on the online assessment system.
Consult with lecturers to provide recommendations on the use of online assessments and tools.
Compile a report and an analysis of assessment related trends.

STUDENT SUPPORT
Provide first line technical support and troubleshooting in the use of online assessment system
Follow divisional procedure regarding the reporting and follow-up of technical problems and
troubleshooting
Refer and escalate queries for necessary student support where needed

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Training
Provide training and support to staff and students on the usage of the online assessment system.
Facilitate staff training workshops on good assessment practice.
Assist with training preparation implementation and evaluation of training workshops regarding e-assessments
Development
Adapt to new technologies and evolving needs in education and training landscape
Participate in professional development activities related to e-assessment or curriculum design
and apply new skills or knowledge to improve daily tasks.

Inherent Job Requirements:

Grade 12 on NQF Level 4.

Recommendations:

A relevant bachelors degree or postgraduate qualification.
Minimum of one (1) years experience in the use of a Learning Management System (LMS) or e-Assessment System.
Minimum of one (1) years experience in training and/or research administration.
Minimum of one (1) years experience in a higher education environment.

Salary:
The annual remuneration package including benefits is R 240 866.45 R 403 692.54 per annum depending on the budget available for the position relevant work experience and qualifications.
