Salary: 13.70 per hour (reviewed annually) weekend enhancements
Hours: 18 hours per week (Wednesday Thursday & Saturday 8am2pm)

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and reliable Cook to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who takes pride in preparing wholesome nutritious meals and wants to make a real difference to the wellbeing of older people.
As a Cook you will prepare home-style meals for residents and staff ensuring food is both nutritious and enjoyable in a warm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast items such as bacon eggs and sausages
- Prepare lunch as the main meal of the day offering two menu options and desserts
- Bake cakes for birthdays and special occasions
- Ensure meals meet nutritional and dietary requirements
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Work independently and as part of the wider care team
- Support a positive and welcoming dining experience for residents
Who Were Looking For
- Previous experience as a Cook (care home or similar setting desirable)
- Knowledge of elderly nutrition and special dietary requirements
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- A caring compassionate approach to food and wellbeing
- Attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
