The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Cook at Meadowcroft. What matters most is your passion for preparing wholesome nutritious meals and your commitment to maintaining and continually improving our high standards.
As a Cook you will play an important role in supporting the wellbeing of our residents by preparing meals with care as well as catering for our colleagues. This is a rewarding position for a Cook who enjoys creating comforting home-style food in a warm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast including items such as bacon eggs and sausages
- Cook lunch as the main meal of the day offering two options plus puddings
- Bake cakes for birthdays and special events
- Ensure all meals meet the nutritional requirements of our residents
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times
- Work independently and collaboratively within the care team
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Cook ideally in healthcare or a similar environment
- Knowledge of elderly nutrition and special diets
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Compassionate attitude attention to detail and a commitment to resident wellbeing
