Job Summary

12 Hour Shift

Essential Functions:

Condition VAR electrodes and ingots daily
Ingot / electrode drilling daily
Ingot / stub saw cutting daily
Ingot chamfering daily
Prep ingots and electrodes for next stage of process
Crucible base plate and stub cleaning daily
Inspect fork trucks & cranes daily
Sort/pack and ship condensate daily
General plant cleanup daily
Maintain chamfer booth
Package chamfer sludge for processing
Complete drill / chamfer pms
Book lab samples into STAR
Enter surface ratings in STAR
Maintain drill / chamfer OEE daily
Clear VAR hot racks
Transport electrodes to VAR
Weigh and dispose of Chamfer rings
Complete processing of cut requests

Education/Experience:

High school graduate or equivalency is required
Additional college/technical schooling or equivalent work experience is preferred
Strong learning aptitude required
Experience using mobile equipment highly preferred.
Good problem-solving skills
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Requires detail-oriented individual with good organizational skills.
Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
