QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate Degree in Applied Science or equivalent job experience
- Minimum five (5) years experience in telephone network and fiber optic cabling and terminations
- Experience in installation and maintenance of TVs projectors and intercom systems
- Experience in door access freezer control and IP surveillance systems
- BICSI technician or similar certification preferred
- Panduit certified installer preferred
- Five (5) years managing large IT construction projects preferred
REPORTS TO: Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer/Cybersecurity Analyst
JOB GOAL: Responsible for the design installation and maintenance of a state-of-the-art structured cabling system for voice data intercom security and related systems while adhering to district and industry standards/guidelines such as ANSI/EIA/TIA 568B. Lead cross-functional multi-organization project teams collaborating at all levels of the school district to ensure project success and satisfied stakeholders.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install Category 6/6a structured cable and distribution systems.
- Diagnose and repair copper and optical fiber issues.
- Install and maintain security access control sound VOIP CCTV CATV paging clocks and related systems.
- Install communication closet hardware including backboards racks patch panels wire management systems fiber enclosure and video equipment.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and monitoring cable performance.
- Installation of TVs Interactive Panels and wireless infrastructure.
- Oversee installation of intercom systems throughout the district.
- Troubleshoot and repair intercom systems throughout the district.
- Must be able to understand a standard set of construction blueprints drawings and determine quantities and dimensional properties of the materials shown on the construction drawings.
- Manage construction projects for all low voltage installs to include surveillance intercoms data telecom- munications and fiber optics.
- Coordinate projects for IT hardware installs to include switches access points servers and computers.
- Serves as liaison between all district divisions while coordinating IT-related software and hardware implementations.
- Must be able to lift and carry 100 lbs.
- Provide own transportation for service calls. Standard mileage reimbursement for personal car usage will apply according to the Business Procedure Manual.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: Range 4 Support Staff Daily Salary Schedule ($215.87/day 331.99/day depending on relevant experience)
Length of Contract: 244 contract days
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
