Job Summary
Position: Cabling Engineer
Location: Sparks NV***Day 1 Onsite***
Duration: 1 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Install terminate label and test **structured cabling systems** (CAT6/CAT6A fiber optic SM/MM)
- Support cabling for **LAN Wi Fi voice CCTV access control nurse call and medical devices**
- Perform cable testing certification troubleshooting and remediation
- Maintain accurate **as-built documentation labeling port mapping and rack layouts**
- Coordinate with **network desktop biomedical and facilities teams** during deployments and upgrades
- Support hospital IT projects including **wards clinics labs OTs data centers and clinics**
- Ensure adherence to **hospital safety infection control and change management standards**
- Work within defined **SLA incident and service request processes**
Technical Skills:**
- Hands-on experience in **structured cabling (Copper & Fiber)**
- Knowledge of **fiber splicing OTDR testing and cable certification tools**
- Experience with **racks patch panels cable trays and conduits**
- Basic understanding of **network connectivity and LAN infrastructure**
- Ability to read **floor plans and network diagrams**
- Healthcare Environment Experience (Preferred):**
- Experience working in **live hospital or clinical environments**
- Understanding of **patient safety infection control and low-voltage systems**
- Ability to work in **24x7 mission-critical operations**
Experience & Qualifications:**
- 2 5 years** experience in structured cabling or network infrastructure
- Healthcare hospital or mission-critical environment experience preferred
Certifications (Preferred)
- * Structured Cabling Certification (BICSI / OEM)
- * Fiber Optic Technician Certification
- * ITIL Foundation / Safety certifications (good to have)
