The role

As anIncident Response Trainer youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. You will play a vital role in strengthening the capability readiness and professionalism of the Incident Response Team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver specialised fire safety security and incident response training that directly contributes to protecting a highly regulated nuclear site. You will make a meaningful difference to national safety while developing your own expertise in a unique operational environment.

Day to day youll be required to:

  • Deliver engaging fire safety security and medical training to the Incident Response Team and customer groups
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of training programmes to ensure quality and regulatory compliance
  • Assess team readiness evaluate training performance and contribute to post event debriefs
  • Maintain accurate training records and prepare all required materials
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to align training with operational needs

The starting salary for this role is 38641.05 increasing to 41193 upon successful completion of training to achieve the required skill level passing probation and obtaining SC vetting.

This role is full time 42 hours per week and is based on site at Capenhurst. The working hours cover 5 days a week Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required around start and finish times to ensure we meet the customers demands. Standard hours of work are 0800 to 1630 however timings may change to facilitate training during Site silent hours.

Essential experience of the Incident Response Trainer:

  • Background in incident response emergency response operational fire safety training operational fire experience security operations or a similar highrisk operational setting.
  • Experience working within regulated environments where compliance standards and assurance are critical.
  • Experience delivering training facilitation or coaching in a professional environment

Qualifications for the Incident Response Trainer:

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent or a commitment to achieve this within the first 12 months.
  • Security Industry Authority (SIA) accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
  • Level 3 medical qualification or be prepared to work towards this.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
