We have an exciting role on offer within our Residential service as a Residential Support Worker.

About Our Home:
Our short breaks home provides a warm safe and fun space for children and young people with a range of disabilities including learning disabilities and health also physical needs. Children come to relax try new activities build friendships enjoy childhood experiences and create memories that last.
Most importantly children have a voice and we make sure they are listened to respected and involved in decisions about their own lives. We work hard to ensure children with disabilities experience a rich meaningful childhood full of voice choice memories fun and aspiration.
You will work within one identified home but may support others when needed.
What you will be doing as a Residential Support Worker:
Be a positive caring and steady role model.
Support children to build confidence independence and life skills.
Help children express themselves and ensure their voices are heard.
Encourage aspirations and celebrate every achievement big or small.
Create opportunities for play adventure and fun.
Provide practical support with emotional physical communication and behavioural needs.
Make sure every child feels safe understood and able to be themselves.
Every child is unique and you will help them shine in their own way.
Our children need adults who can show the following:
Listens deeply and advocates for childrens needs and wishes.
Builds warm trusting and professional relationships.
Helps create a welcoming inclusive and safe environment.
Enjoys working as part of a team.
Is open to learning and taking on new training.
Can work a variety of shifts throughout the year (including sleep-ins and nights).
If you do not already have it we will fund your Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
What you will need:
A relevant qualification or willingness to work towards.
A full UK driving licence would be preferable but not essential.
