Job Summary
For our procurement team we are currently looking for Category Buyer. As a valuable member of the Global Strategic Direct Procurement department you will be in charge of the strategic procurement within the commodity close coordination with the Category Manager and internal Business Partners you will shape the Category Strategy optimize the global supply base; become an integral challenger in the early development phase achieve material cost optimization at the supplier level also through effective supplier relationship management

YourResponsibility:
Youwillengineer&steerthesupplybasetoachieveourobjectivesonqualitycostdeliverybusiness andinnovationconsideringbestpracticemethodsaswellasKIONsProcurementStrategy.
YouwilldevelopCategoryStrategiesandthesupplierportfolioinalignmentwiththeCategoryManagerwhichincludesregularsupplier andmarketanalysisaswellasbenchmarking
YouwillcloselycooperatewithAdvancedSourcingtoassureprojectrequirementsonthesupplybaseandthetransferofmarkettrendsintotheprojects
Youwillensuretheearlyinvolvementoftheprocurement(strategy) inthedevelopmentprocess(ClosecooperationwithModule Management & Truckdevelopment)
Youwillmaintainanddeveloprelationshipswithstrategicsuppliers. Leadnegotiationsforthesupplierportfolioinyourareaofresponsibility. Manage andnegotiateglobalcontractswithstrategicsuppliers(NDAs Long Term- / SupplyContracts etc.).
Youwillproactivelydrivesourcingresourcing 2ndsourcing etc. initiativeseffectivelymanagingall internalaswellasexternalrelationstoachievethegoals
Youwill managecrisissituations. Support andrespondtounforeseensupplyfailuresworkingwithsuppliersand planttodeliversolutions
YourSkills and Expertise:
Must-have:
Bachelorsdegreeminimumin BusinessorEngineering andexperienceof3yearsasaCommodityBuyer in Material Handling ConstructionAgriculture Automotive Tier 1orsimilarlydemandingenvironment.
Strategicthinkingintheday-to-daydecisionmaking.
Strongnegotiationskills.Capableofleadingnegotiationsforstrategicsupplycontracts. Abilitytodevelopandunderstandlegalcontracts.
GoodunderstandingofproductcostbreakdownsandexperienceinmethodsforTCOmanagementbasedonproductcostanalysisandcostengineering.
Abletoreadandunderstandtechnicaldrawingsandspecifications.Goodunderstandingofmanufacturingprocessesandindustryqualitystandardsforindustrialpartsappreciated.
ProficientinusingMicrosoft Office.
Resultsdrivenwiththeabilitytodriveprojectsself-reliantandsuccessfully.
Excellentcommunicatorandpresenteratkeystakeholders/ topexecutivelevel.
