Job Description
Role: Saw Operator
Objectives: Fabrication of material for roofing applications. Produces cut material by operating a sliding panel saw; interprets shop drawings; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment. The Saw Operator reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities
- Prepares orders by cutting various types of insulation based on cut lists and shop drawings using a sliding panel saw; ensures accuracy and quality of orders
- Pulling materials packing wrapping and labelling pallets; placing materials in staging area
- Verifies quality by measuring pieces; adheres to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following maintenance guidelines
- Assist in effective completion of inventory audits
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping warehouse neat; complying with established policies and procedures
- Documents actions by completing forms reports logs and records
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications
- Teamwork coordination organization planning time management reporting skills documentation skills equipment maintenance dependability attention to detail process improvement
- Construction / carpentry / trade / table saw operation experience considered an asset
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret information effectively
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excels at operating in a fast pace community environment
- High comfort level working in a diverse environment
- Valid Forklift License (training can be provided)
- Able to work in shift/overtime as required
- Working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
- Compliance with OH&S act / provincial workplace safety regulations
- Ability to lift push and carry 80100 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions including bending twisting and reaching
- Ability to work in a high-paced production environment and meet production targets
- Exposure to dust and noise (with use of required PPE)
