SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER
WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW
Salary:gross per month (depending on experience)
Bonus: Up to 10% of annual salary (linked to company performance)
Location: Leuven Belgium
Working Pattern: Hybrid (approx. 1 day per week from home)
Contract: Permanent
ROLE DETAILS
This is a senior-level network engineering position focused on the design optimisation and security of enterprise-scale infrastructure.
You will work across a global environment supporting both on-premises and cloud-based (Azure) networks with a strong focus on security segmentation and performance.
The role is primarily based on-site in Leuven with structured hybrid flexibility and occasional travel to support international projects and critical network activities.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and operate enterprise LAN WAN wireless and SD-WAN networks
- Implement network segmentation and security protocols (including NAC / 802.1X)
- Manage and optimise Cisco-based infrastructure (routing switching firewalls wireless)
- Monitor network performance and lead complex troubleshooting activities
- Support ongoing improvements to network architecture and security
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years experience in enterprise network engineering
- Strong Cisco background (routing switching firewalls)
- Experience with network security segmentation and access control
- Hands-on experience with wireless and enterprise networking environments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a global environment
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- CCNP certification (security-focused preferred)
- Experience working with Azure networking
- Exposure to SD-WAN environments
