Job Summary
Duxbury Middle School is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Grade 8 English Teacher (Long Term Substitute) starting on or about April 27 - May 29 2026 (end date subject to change). It is expected that this position will not become permanent.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Classroom management skills that support students social-emotional learning
- Ability to partner with families to meet the needs of all learners
- Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners
- Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks - English Language Arts and Literacy for grades 5-8.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Citizenship residency or work visa required
Preferred Qualifications:
-Current certification from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education English Language Arts (5-12).
