Job Summary

Position Overview

Our non-profit mission-driven palliative care program is seeking a friendly organized Part-Time Front Office Coordinator to support daily clinic operations and serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients families and referring providers. This role plays an important part in helping patients access compassionate palliative care services while supporting the work of a community-focused healthcare organization dedicated to improving quality of life for those facing serious illness.

Key Responsibilities

Process and manage incoming patient referrals

Obtain and track insurance prior authorizations

Answer and triage incoming phone calls from patients families and referring providers

Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments

Maintain accurate patient information within the electronic medical record

Coordinate with clinical staff to support smooth clinic operations

Qualifications

Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative role preferred

Experience with insurance authorizations and referral management helpful

Strong communication and organizational skills

Comfortable working with electronic medical records and standard office software

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Schedule & Benefits

Approximately 20 hours per week with flexible daytime hours

Schedule may be arranged to accommodate school drop-off and pick-up times making this an excellent opportunity for parents or caregivers seeking part-time work
