Job Summary

Overview:

With close supervision and mentorship supports the Human Resources team in the execution of employee documentation onboarding and offboarding activities compliance-related processes and day-to-day HR tasks to help contribute to a positive employee experience. Eager to learn innovate and willing to contribute to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports professional and positive working relationships with internal team members through responsive communication
  • Supports the Human Resources and Benefits team through entry-level tasks
  • Assists with HR audits with guidance from the HR team (e.g. HR intranet pages employee records employee licenses certifications and job descriptions)
  • Assists with onboarding activities such as helping to coordinate I-9 processing working alongside the HR team and HR Touchpoints across offices
  • Helps monitor HR email inbox inquiries escalating questions to the appropriate team member as needed
  • Assists the Benefits team with administration support and coordination of onsite HR events
  • Assists with employee documentation in the HRIS (Workday)
  • Assists with organizing and maintaining visa and immigration-related filing systems
  • Assists with sorting and distributing HR mail
  • May support new hire orientation activities
  • Participates and contributes in various HR meetings
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Currently earning a professional degree in Human Resources Management Business Administration or relevant degree at an accredited school
  • Typically 0-2 years of intern experience
  • Available to be in the Dallas office at least 5 days a week
  • Familiarity of HRIS systems such as Workday preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred
  • Basic knowledge of human resources principles including HR policies procedures and employment laws preferred
  • Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines
