Job Summary
Overview:
With close supervision and mentorship supports the Human Resources team in the execution of employee documentation onboarding and offboarding activities compliance-related processes and day-to-day HR tasks to help contribute to a positive employee experience. Eager to learn innovate and willing to contribute to the team.Responsibilities:
- Supports professional and positive working relationships with internal team members through responsive communication
- Supports the Human Resources and Benefits team through entry-level tasks
- Assists with HR audits with guidance from the HR team (e.g. HR intranet pages employee records employee licenses certifications and job descriptions)
- Assists with onboarding activities such as helping to coordinate I-9 processing working alongside the HR team and HR Touchpoints across offices
- Helps monitor HR email inbox inquiries escalating questions to the appropriate team member as needed
- Assists the Benefits team with administration support and coordination of onsite HR events
- Assists with employee documentation in the HRIS (Workday)
- Assists with organizing and maintaining visa and immigration-related filing systems
- Assists with sorting and distributing HR mail
- May support new hire orientation activities
- Participates and contributes in various HR meetings
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Currently earning a professional degree in Human Resources Management Business Administration or relevant degree at an accredited school
- Typically 0-2 years of intern experience
- Available to be in the Dallas office at least 5 days a week
- Familiarity of HRIS systems such as Workday preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred
- Basic knowledge of human resources principles including HR policies procedures and employment laws preferred
- Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in team environment
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines
