South Carolina certification as required for the position or eligible for appropriate certification
Bachelors Degree
Strong background in technology skills and applications

Job Description:
Attends various staff meetings to provide input and receive information regarding the library and reference needs of the school.
Coordinates request of individuals and/or sites (e.g. technical support equipment requirements) to ensure availability of audio visual equipment for instructional use.
Develops library media resources to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students and staff.
Directs media instructional assistant in providing orientation training and ensuring assignments are completed appropriately.
Duplicates audio and video tapes to maintain an appropriate inventory for internal distribution.
Evaluates media equipment to ensure repairs provision of technical support and diagnosing malfunctions and/or recommending acquisitions.
Instructs students to educate them on the proper use of the media center resources (e.g. classification system use of equipment care of materials).
Monitors activities of media center to maintain appropriate working atmosphere.
Operates a variety of media production equipment and systems (e.g. program channel video tape edit media duplicate media) to provide media production services.
Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing supporting information and conveying information to others of their actions.
Responds to inquires by providing information and/or direction.
Performs other related duties as may be required to support the efficient and effective functioning of the department.
