ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in and helps develop assignments requiring professional judgement and problem solving skills
- Prepare daily weekly and monthly reporting which provides timely information to support business operations
- Coordinate monthly physical inventories prepare monthly inventory valuations and direct quarterly/yearly inventory verifications
- Prepare monthly job costing inventory and labor journal entries
- Complete cost labor and inventory components of the companys financial statements monthly account reviews and reconciliations
- Prepare various monthly operating reports for management
- Support completion of the companys budgets and forecasts
- Research and analysis of general ledger account variances
- Coordinate with auditors in preparation of the yearend financial statements
- Compiles information for submission to appropriate government authorities including sales and excise tax returns
- Prepare analysis as determined necessary to support operations management
- Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent professional and courteous manner
- Proven knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Expert proficiency in Excel PowerPoint and Word.
- High attention to detail and ability to accurately and efficiently analyze financial data and develop appropriate course of action
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a team environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal skills ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization including parent company
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis professional expertise and experience
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Masters Degree preferred
- Five plus years in related experience - Costing accounting and/or Financial Analysis
- Experience with Hyperion HFM and/or Hyperion Planning preferred
- Certified Public Accountant Preferred
- Ability to sit in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving whole body such as lifting balancing walking stooping and handling materials.
- Located in a comfortable indoor office area with some time spent in the factory and warehouse.
