GRADE: 3 | CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months |
CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 3:The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff. | |
ROLE PURPOSE: The Health and Nutrition Specialist will provide technical support for the implementation of health and nutrition projects in Nigeria. The Specialist will be responsible for providing technical inputs in program design technical assistance for project implementation implementation and capacity building of SCI and partner staff. The Specialistwill also ensure delivery according to the Country Strategic Plan and the existing response strategy and in line the Save the Children Common Approaches and globally endorsed recommendations. The Health and Nutrition Specialist will work with all relevant stakeholders both internally and externally relevant clusters and SCI and partner staff. The Specialist will represent Save the Children country office in relevant forums and mechanism. The Specialistworks closely with other Specialist and other program staff to contribute to the research agenda in Save the Childrens Health and Nutrition thematic area knowledge management and development of integrated approaches. | |
SCOPE OF ROLE: Reports to: Head of Health and Nutrition Staff directly reporting to this post: No staff reporting but consequent coordination with other specialists field managers and programme managers. | |
