SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
Minnkota Power Cooperative is seeking applicants for the position of Supply Chain Manager in the Procurement Department at our headquarters in Grand Forks North Dakota.
TheSupply ChainManager directs thesupply chainfunctionsfor MinnkotaPower Cooperative Inc. (Minnkota)andis responsible forthe management of the Procurement department. This position develops andimplementsstrategy for the procurement of all materials equipmentandcontract servicesfor the addition this positionoverseesinventory andwarehouse facilities.
The pay range for this position begins at $133647 per year. Appropriate compensation will be determined based on a candidates skills education and any previous relevant experience.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Departmental Management Responsibilities
- Responsible for the direction of departmental initiatives goals and objectives
- Responsible for providing supportdirectionand development of employees within their assigned department(s) to achieve both short- and long-term initiatives
- Sets goals monitors work and evaluates results to ensure that departmental and organizationalobjectivesand operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization
- Oversees assigned cost center(s) budgeting expense accounting and payroll processes
- Manageand coordinateprocurement activities
- Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures
- Educate requisitionersand otherson the advantages of a well-coordinated reliable proficient and centralized Procurement Department
- Provideoversight and leadership for strategic supplier researchalliancesand major negotiations of the Cooperative
- Coordinate with other departments on processes and projects to work effectively and efficiently as an organization
- Subject Matter Expert for Cyber Security-Supply Chain Risk Management
- Manage development and maintenance of procurement modulesinERP system
- Oversee scrap and salvage process
- ManageCooperativecredit card program
- Develop and report on supply chain metrics/key performance indicators (KPIs) including overall supply chain performance or disruptions
- Administerfederal fundingprocesses andprocedures
- Directrequiredteamresponsefor emergent work including after-hours coordination as needed
- Monitor and administer contracts
- Contract documentation developmentin accordance withpolicies and procedures and along with RUS guidelines
- Review all contracts andpurchaseorders exceedingapproved thresholdsto assure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain relationshipswith outsidesuppliersand contractorsalong with other key sources outside the Cooperative
- Resolvesupplierand contractor issues
- Monitor and administer inventory
- Develop policies and procedures that assure Minnkota ismaintainingan optimuminventory level from both a cost and service perspective
- Manage inventory assembly and kitting process
- Directand reviewinventory counts
- Ensure warehouse facilities aresecure andmaintainedin a safe orderly and clean condition
- Coordinateauditor inventory verification ifapplicable
- Overseevarious inventory transactions includingobsoleteand excess materials
- Develop and report on inventory metrics/key performance indicators (KPIs)

Job Qualification Standards
Education and Training
- Position requiresa bachelors degree insupply chainbusiness accounting orrelated field
- Mustmaintaina valid drivers license.
Experience
- Minimum10years of experience in purchasing/buyingcontract administrationor related industry experience
- Thorough understanding of supply chain management practices including procurementwarehousingandlogistics
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred
- Supervisory experiencerequired
- Proficiencywithnegotiations contractsandanalysis
- Federal fundingprocurement/contractingexperience preferred
