Job Summary

Unit Role:

To develop the leadership potential of selected university students and potential officers for the Army Reserve raising awareness of the Armys ethos and building interest in its career opportunities; in order to secure their commitment whether as officers or as future leaders in their chosen profession to champion the Army in society.

Position Role: CSgt/SSgt Reserve Instructor

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the co-ordination monitoring and validation of all training in particular the effective and efficient use of training resources as laid down in the RMAS and COs Directive.

2. Assist in planning co-ordination and monitoring of the RMAS training especially the Common Military Syllabus RMAS modules A & B training and annual mandated training such as ITRs WIPS and Civil Servant training courses (through DLE/VLE/CSL). Provide remedial training lessons for those requiring extra tuition.

3. Develop inspire and instil an ethos culture and awareness of values-based leadership (VBL) that OCdts should aspire to a Reserve or Regular Army Commission.

4. Prepare and encourage second year Officer Cadets to attend the RMAS run courses for both modular courses Commissioning Course Short and the regular officer Commissioning Course. Develop a wider reserve understanding to improve context and provide focused detachment opportunities.

5. Deliver first-line administration to the staff and OCdt and assist in the recruitment of undergraduates at annual Freshers Fairs.

6. Other duties as directed by Officer Commanding and the Commanding Officer.
