About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detailfocused Casual Domestic/Laundry Assistant to help maintain a clean safe and welcoming environment for residents staff and visitors. This role provides flexible cover for sickness holidays and additional service demands.

Key Responsibilities

Domestic duties:

Clean communal areas offices bathrooms corridors and resident rooms.
Vacuum mop sweep dust and polish.
Clean bathrooms/toilets and replenish consumables.
Empty bins and manage waste.
Follow cleaning schedules and complete records.
Use cleaning chemicals/equipment safely.
Report maintenance issues.
Work effectively as part of the team.

Laundry duties:

Collect sort wash dry iron and fold items.
Operate laundry equipment safely.
Follow correct procedures for soiled laundry.
Return items to the correct residents.
Maintain laundry room cleanliness.
Monitor and report low stock levels.

General:

Follow infection control health & safety and organisational policies.
Provide excellent customer service.

Person Specification

Essential:

Good attention to detail.
Able to work independently and manage time effectively.

Previous domestic/cleaning experience.
Experience in a care or healthcare environment.
